read between the lines
a temp update november was depressing - especially on my birthday, which had such a significant date but was a pretty insignificant day in itself (i had the flu too, so my movie plans were scrapped).december was surprisingly good. i thought my terrible birthday was a foreshadowing about how the year ahead would be, but december proved me wrong. great times on a lookout point overlooking kuala lumpur city at 5.30 in the morning with two others with me. january was the bomb. i didn't know what to expect, but basically everything i hoped for and dreamed of happening when i got to the US happened. returning was difficult because it was a very obvious anticlimax. and february? the start of better things to come, i hope. it was mostly a month of making an effort to put into practice all i learnt in the US about myself and people. gave me 3 personal goals to strive for this year. to open up more to people, to not worry so much, to be more believing/optimistic as opposed to pessimistic about life in general.
