Waiting for the day when I'm complete Without you I'm doing what I can to let you be Making sure There's nothing showing on the outside Something's dying on the inside I'm still broken but I'm free I'll see you on the flipside I'll see you on the flipside Nothin' showing on the outside Something's dying on the inside Waiting for the day when I'm complete Doing what I can to let you be Nothing showing on the outside Something's dying on the inside I'm still broken but I'm free I'll see you on the flipside -- out of nowhere, i just started listening to one of my brother's album collections...and i found that i actually kinda liked modern minds and pastimes after a while. perhaps it's the situation i'm now in that made me more receptive. i really like how the above song was the opening track because it's so relevant in light of recent events. i used to think they were just another boyband and their only listenable hit was jenny, but i've found that their new singer has quite a unique attribute of 'spitting' words out on occasion like he did with the word 'time' in the first line (and 'coming' in the third) of flipside. haha. and for some reason a lot of their songs on this album are about with coping with loss. it's good therapy. |
