read between the lines
home improvement came back unexpectedly early today, because my friend got into a bike accident...and we were supposed to be filming today (he's one of the main actors). so we had to postpone to monday, which messes up my schedule because i was planning to print out my photojourn sheets then...but it can't be helped. was a bit shaken up seeing his cuts, bruises and abrasions, though thank god they were not teruk enough to warrant inpatient treatment. but still, i turned pale when i saw blood. my least favourite sight.the modem has been blinking like siao these past few nights so i haven't been able to come online at home for long. right now happens to be a miracle that the lights aren't flickering (signifying a connection)....answered prayer in time too. cos i have an assessed discussion tutorial tomorrow and i hadn't printed my school notes until now. yesterday and the day before yesterday my dad has been expressing interest in what i do, which is (1) rare and (2) an encouraging start to something. and no, he doesn't end up trying to turn it into an argument when i talk. but somehow i can't help feeling or wishing it was like this with my mom too. i told my parents yesterday about this camp that i always go to every year since i've started school and....i thought they would have a cow like they always do because (1) this year's fees have like, jumped, like so much higher and (2) they're not too fond of the idea of camps, whether it's christian or not (and especially so since i tend to badger them into letting me go for more than 1 a year if possible). but surprisingly they did not. and my dad even supported me and agreed to pay. wowza! but speaking about the camp, i'm not too keen on the location. i mean, we're paying so much more than previous years but we've shifted location to a hostel? when i think of hostels i think of sleeping together and nowhere to escape during quiet time. which will turn out to be so, i think. besides that, someone tried to force a friendship on me yesterday and of course, it failed. it always does. i don't know if it's just me but everytime i know i'm gonna meet her i automatically look and feel so much more tired than i usually am. the dreaded interrogations get us nowhere. our "group" more often than not consists of a one-on-one between me and her. don't get me wrong, one-on-ones are preferable to me but it's not a good thing if you're not comfortable with the person you have to spend it with. sometimes i wonder why i subject myself to this every time if it seems to be getting pointless...and i'm beginning to question whether i should still carry on with it for another 6 months. but i guess the good that comes out of these forced sessions is...i see what not to do in her position. |
