read between the lines
putting the god back in mass comm been super busy with tons of assignments (after all, this is supposed to be the hardest sem, as the lecturers forewarned), but one short thing to say...this evening after lecture was the second time some of us christians in mass comm gathered for the first time as a fellowship group. god really is amazing. n today's number grew from last wk. cos, as far as i noe, there are quite a bunch of christians in mass comm, but the thing is, most of them are what i like to call "nominal", or only christians in name, or are kinda embarassed to admit they're christians. but thank god this sem things are changing. we mite start off small, but it's definitely a step forward in the spiritual realm.a lot of them commented last wk n this wk that they never expected us mass commers to meet n talk about god. for me, i didn't see it as that far off an idea, prob since i came into mass comm with my faith already grounded within me. but i relly think this sem is the start of bigger things to come. most of us who met were ones who had jus been spiritually revived or renewed, after having either backslided or gone thru some difficult times like me. n god is using humbled ppl like us to do something n reach out to our classmates. i seriously believe there's something different about this sem, something spiritually different. n oh yeah...i cudnt believe a tsunami came to malaysia...defies all we learnt in geografi. but i believe god is using this as an opportunity to tell ppl around the world about the good news in christ, thru aid workers n helpers with a Mission in mind. |
